Ocasio-Cortez calls for furlough of congressional salaries  and I didn’t think I would ever see the day that I would agree with her on anything of a pollical nature. Being as most everything she has said, has be socialist in nature I whole heartedly agree with her on this point.

I feel that our Government has forgotten that they work for us the people and not set themselves up as rulers. What else do you call people that put themselves above the people that put them in office. That give themselves raises and benefits that the people don’t have. Does their performance in office have any affect on what they make? Not that I have seen. Hell even if they are voted out of office they get a paycheck for life. Why? Because they voted for that themselves. They even have to vote to NOT get a raise every year or else its automatic. Don’t you wish that was the way it worked at your job?
